I Am Free, Being Your Own Boss
The idea of the project “I Am Free” is to empower youth and household females to be able earn money using Freelancing platform. Our aim is to provide necessary help and education to gain skills to be able to do freelancing.
We the team of 7 members, generated this idea on Aug 15–2020. We created Business Canvas Model. In that model we decided necessary tasks and action plans with the help of teamwork in multiple Zoom meetings.
In the Zoom meetings we decided and divided tasks among our valuable teammates. One of the major task was to create and promote a Facebook page. We created the Facebook page on Aug 29–2020 with the Name of “I Am Free”, which is our key resource in the project.
After the creation of Facebook page, our immediate goal was to increase the number of respondents by promoting, sharing and posting contents on this page.
According to the plan, we have to conduct Live sessions on the page to Introduce Freelancing, its pros and cons and education about platforms like Fiverr.com. We successfully conducted live sessions with freelance experts and as a result we gained a huge response rate.
One of the huge challenges we faced was promoting and get more engagements on the Facebook Page. We overcame that challenge by effective teamwork with honesty and dedication. As a result our engagement rate on our last live Was about 700 plus in just 22 hours and it is growing.
Due to all these efforts and activities, we were able to pull 5 people who actually wanted to be freelancers and they were seeking our help in this regard. Although, it is very small number but we believe, if we keep on working with dedication and honesty we can turn this number into thousand.
We conducted a small research and we came to know that short videos having maximum 10 minutes are very attractive and can gain the maximum attention of people on Facebook platform. So, we are planning to record some short videos covering the necessary information about the topic will be posted to make them more attractive and effective.
We will sustain this project by being active on this page, like we posted contents and conducted live Sessions as well. Our contents will be saved on the page so that, anyone can approach them anytime easily.
